MagnifyTraffic's Massive Overhaul!Here at MagnifyTraffic, we've been working for the last month on a massive system overhaul that includes a new design, new features, and improved services for all of our members. At 12:01 AM on Saturday, March 22, we are going to go live with this update. Below is a list of the changes included in the update. It's long, but you should read it. The changes are important... and exciting! New Design - MagnifyTraffic will have an entirely new site design! In addition to a new interface and a redesigned surfbar (don't worry, the one-digit numbers are still there!), several of the pages in the members area have been completely rewritten to make them easier to use. Not only does the new design make the site as a whole easier to navigate and the individual pages easier to understand, but (in our humble opinion) it also looks incredibly cool! Membership Levels - The base ratio for free members will be changed to 0.25 hits per view, but more random ratio bonuses will be received while surfing (see below). The effect of this will be that the average actual ratio for free members will remain approximately in the 0.60-0.70 range, but more active members will receive more hits per view than they currently do, and less active members will receive fewer. This is in line with our original goals when we founded MagnifyTraffic more than a year ago -- the purpose of the ratio bonuses has always been to encourage and reward active and loyal users. - The Pro membership will be replaced by the Pro membership. The base ratio for this membership level will continue to be 0.50 hits per view, and the membership will now include 500 hits per month (instead of 300) and the ability to rotate 25 sites (instead of 10) as well as discounts of 11-17% on credit package purchases. The price for this membership level will be $9.99 per month. Members who are currently signed up for the Pro membership (which currently costs $7.99 per month) will have their accounts converted to the new Pro membership and will keep their lower rates. - Likewise, the Ultimate membership will be replaced by the Ultimate membership. The base ratio for this membership level will continue to be 1.00 hits per view, and the membership will now include 2000 hits per month (instead of 800) as well as discounts of 22-33% on credit package purchases. The price for this membership level will be $29.99 per month. Members who are currently signed up for the Ultimate membership (which currently costs $19.99 per month) will have their accounts converted to the new Ultimate membership and will keep their lower rates. - The Advertiser membership is being absorbed into our new Standing Orders system (see below). Members who are currently signed up for the Advertiser membership (which costs $29.99 per month) will have their accounts converted to free membership and will receive a Standing Order of 10000 hits per month (which will be priced at $34.99) for as long as the old Advertiser membership subscription remains active. Ratio Bonuses - The random ratio bonuses received during surfing will be modified in both frequency and size. The random bonuses will now range from 1-10% (currently, they range from 1-5%). - The referred member ratio bonus will be increased to 5% per referral (from 4%) and the cap on this bonus will be increased to 200% (from 100%), but the bonus will now only be awarded for referrals active in the last 60 days. Remember, the purpose of the ratio bonus is to encourage activity in the exchange! Credit Packages - The prices of all credit packages will be decreased. (Unless you intend to use them in the next week, do not buy credits now! The prices are going down!) Standing Orders - We will be implementing a new standing credit purchase order system, which will allow members to create a subscription and receive a large number of credits each month at a heavily discounted rate -- 33-58% off the base price. Standing orders will require an initial commitment to 3 months' worth of purchases, payable at the time the subscription is initiated. After the initial 3 months, the PayPal account will be billed on a month-to-month basis and the order may be cancelled at any time. Referrals and Commissions - All members will now earn 25% cash commissions on their referrals' upgrade subscription payments for all upgrades initiated on or after March 15, 2008. (This includes upgrades purchased by members who were referred prior to the update, but initiated their upgrades after the update.) Members in our partner program from the original MagnifyTraffic launch will continue to receive the partner commission rate for all of their upgraded referrals both before and after the update. - The page that lists your referrals will now show more information about each member you have referred. You will also be able to see a list of your upgraded and formerly upgraded referrals that will include the amount of commissions you have earned from each of those referrals. You will be able to request payment of your commissions via PayPal via the members area at any time, with no minimum payout requirement. On the first day of each month, all members who requested a payout during the previous month will receive all commissions they are owed. - As a special limited-time promotion, each member will receive $1 cash for each new member he or she refers between the update launch and the end of March (March 22 through 31) who logs in and surfs at least ten sites. We are going to be paying very close attention to the new referrals and anyone found cheating (which includes creating multiple accounts and using paid-to-signup or referral-trading type services) will have his account deleted. Attempting to cheat like this is not just unethical; it is fraud. It is a crime. Don't do it. New Promo Materials - There will be some new promotional materials in the members area. They will include a set of new splash pages, as well as new self-brandable banners (which will be generated for you by our computer systems after you choose a photo and enter your name and MagnifyTraffic recommendation text). |
